Do I get native 4K ULTRA HD?

Yes. Warner Bros. has some making up to do, as the original Blu-ray release of Eyes Wide Shut was hardly a technical masterpiece (not to mention it was never officially released in the Czech Republic). Kubrick’s final film has already been newly remastered for the Criterion Collection’s 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release, so we at least know the studio has access to a native 4K master sourced from the 35mm negatives. It will "only" be up to Warner now to handle the encoding. In any case, it is highly likely that we will receive the definitive A/V presentation, providing the most faithful reproduction of the original analog materials to date. The Ultra HD presentation is capable of not only maximizing detail for home cinemas but also "extracting" all available luminance and color information from the motion picture film. Especially in the context of the Central European market, where the title has often been limited to DVD, this is an absolute must-have upgrade for every collector.
