Yes. This Nordic classic and the original source material for the somewhat more famous remake by Christopher Nolan underwent a complete restoration of its analogue elements years ago, resulting in a brand-new 4K scan and master. The entire process was overseen by Nordisk Film. This digitization initially served as the source material for the legendary Criterion Collection edition, albeit only on standard Blu-ray. Now, Second Sight is utilizing this master to its full potential: delivering a full-fledged 4K Ultra HD presentation with a brand-new HDR grading. Thanks to this definitive edition, you can be absolutely sure you are getting the film in the highest (and practically maximum possible) quality. As is usually the case with such meticulous transfers, it even surpasses the audiovisual quality of the original analogue projections from the time of its theatrical release.
