Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Although The Town was shot on 35mm film, we have to factor in an upscale from 2K, as that was the resolution in which the film was mastered. In terms of fine detail rendering, one cannot expect dramatic changes. According to international reviews (1) (2), the difference in detail reproduction compared to the Blu-ray is noticeable mainly in wide establishing shots or, conversely, in intimate close-ups. On UHDBD, the film benefits primarily from improved contrast handling and a wider color palette, which contributes to better definition in red tones, among other things. The differences over the Blu-ray are therefore visible.
