Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?
Director Anthony Maras’s historical WWII drama was captured by cinematographer Jamie Ramsay on digital ARRI Alexa Mini cameras in ARRIRAW paired with Cooke S4/i Prime spherical lenses. The filmmakers deliberately chose an unromanticized, grounded, period-authentic aesthetic that heightens the claustrophobic tension inside Allied command rooms and the turbulent weather over the English Channel. While the Alexa Mini’s 3.4K source capture is upscaled to a 4k master, the 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation shines through its HDR grading and Wide Color Gamut (WCG), giving muted military uniforms, dimly lit war rooms, and stormy skies over Normandy noticeably greater depth and tonal nuance than standard Blu-ray.
