Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Danny Boyle shot T2 Trainspotting on Arri Alexa Mini and XT cameras at 3.4K resolution. However, the source footage was downscaled to 2K for editing and post-production. The Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation is therefore upscaled from a 2K master and, beyond a slight bump in resolution, benefits primarily from HDR and WCG. According to international reviews, the film on UHDBD exhibits a slightly different color palette in certain scenes (for instance, colors in the finale stand out a bit better with different saturation). The higher resolution also more clearly reveals differences between the various source formats (alongside the Alexa, Boyle used other cameras and even 16mm film stock). Naturally, this also means more pronounced noise—or rather, sharper definition of noise, especially in scenes where it was added artificially.
