The Name of the Rose 4k | Limited Collector´s Edition

Yes. Jean-Jacques Annaud's acclaimed 1986 medieval mystery adapted from Umberto Eco's novel was shot on classic 35mm film by legendary Italian cinematographer Tonino Delli Colli. For its Ultra HD Blu-ray debut, the original 35mm camera negative underwent a fresh 4k scan and comprehensive restoration personally supervised by director Annaud himself. Enhanced with Dolby Vision and HDR-10, the transfer turns the brooding atmosphere of the 14th-century Benedictine abbey into a remarkable visual experience: rough stone walls, parchment scrolls inside the labyrinthine library, monks' habits, and the weathered faces of Sean Connery and F. Murray Abraham showcase superb fine detail and organic film grain, while HDR imbues scenes lit solely by torches and candlelight with captivating shadow depth and warm, flickering flame highlights.
