The Saint 4k | Steelbook

Yes. Phillip Noyce's 1990s action thriller starring Val Kilmer was made at a time when Hollywood productions were shot on classic 35mm film (using anamorphic Panavision lenses) and finished entirely photochemically without a digital intermediate. Paramount was therefore able to go back to the vaults for the original camera negatives, clean and scan them in 4k, and strike a brand-new native 4k master. Sourced directly from the original celluloid, this Ultra HD Blu-ray transfer yields a dramatic leap in sharpness and fine textural detail across costumes and architecture compared to the dated Full HD master. A fresh HDR grade (including Dolby Vision) and WCG further enrich both luminance dynamics and color depth—from chilly Moscow exteriors and nighttime shadows to the lush tones of the Oxford sequences. With beautifully resolved 35mm grain, the presentation is the equivalent of owning an archival 35mm print, and the film will simply never look better on home video.
