Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?

4k REVIEW

Yes. Jonathan Demme's five-time Academy Award-winning thriller arrives from UK label Arrow Video in a native 4k presentation scanned from the original 35mm camera negative (OCN) with color grading approved by cinematographer Tak Fujimoto. Crucially for collectors, Arrow Video has completely corrected the infamous color space error that plagued the first 20 minutes of the earlier US Kino Lorber 4k release.

Masterfully encoded by Fidelity in Motion on a triple-layer BD-100 disc with Dolby Vision and HDR10, the image preserves fine, organic 35mm grain, accurate skin tones across Demme's signature claustrophobic close-ups, and deep shadow detail inside Lecter's cell. Rounded out by the newly restored original theatrical lossless DTS-HD MA 2.0 stereo mix alongside DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround, this is the definitive 4k edition of a modern masterpiece.
