Do I get native 4K ULTRA HD?

Yes. And it should be an absolute bombshell, as the film underwent a complete restoration of the original analog elements before its 4K re-release. The studio assigned its "Walt Disney Restoration Team" to Tron and also invited the director to participate in the process. The original materials from classic 35mm, Super 35, and even large-format analog tapes were scanned in a stunning 8K. Not only that, but the team even scanned the original CGI elements in 6K resolution. The digital restoration work was thus carried out with the understanding that it is genuinely impossible to extract more visual information from the source materials.

The "rejuvenated" image, cleaned of analog flaws and defects, then underwent color grading under the director's supervision to be ready not only for modern 4K projection in the most demanding cinemas but also for 4K Ultra HD with an extended dynamic range in the form of HDR on modern displays. Therefore, we can confidently speak of a technically definitive transfer, with the certainty that Tron has not only never looked better, but it will never look or sound better in the future.
