Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?

4k REVIEW

Yes. Paul Verhoeven's iconic 1992 erotic thriller starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone was shot by cinematographer Jan de Bont on classic 35mm film (Super 35 format with Panavision cameras), and all post-production was completed photochemically without a Digital Intermediate. For its anniversary edition, Studiocanal returned to the original 35mm camera negatives, scanned them in 4k, and carried out a comprehensive digital restoration alongside a new color grade in Dolby Vision and HDR-10 under director Paul Verhoeven's personal supervision. Presented on a triple-layer BD-100 disc with flawless HEVC compression, the native 4k transfer looks like a revelation next to the old, technically dismal Blu-ray disc: international reviews rave about its surgically precise fine detail, delicate film grain, natural skin tones, and noir contrast between sun-drenched San Francisco and shadowy nighttime scenes.
