Will I get native 4K Ultra HD?

Yes. The vast majority of Elysium was filmed using Red Epic digital cameras capable of native 4K capture, with Canon DSLR cameras used for a handful of shots. All of the raw footage was also completed in a 4K post-production workflow, resulting in a native 4K master. The UHD Blu-ray therefore delivers a native Ultra HD presentation based on true 4K source material. HEVC compression, combined with the generous capacity of the triple-layer disc, preserves exceptional image quality, while the wider colour gamut and HDR (mastered at 1000 nits) further enhance an already stunning presentation. Thanks to the remarkable sharpness and fine detail of the source materials, this is one of the strongest UHD releases available and offers the best home video presentation of the film to date. It is safe to assume that Elysium is unlikely to look any better, as the Ultra HD Blu-ray extracts virtually every ounce of audiovisual quality from the source.
