Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition

Malcolm Venville's feature-length music documentary charting five decades of the British heavy metal legends blends newly shot digital interviews with band members and music figures alongside a wealth of archival footage drawn from private collections, music videos, and concert recordings spanning 1975–2025. Given the wide variety of archival sources—ranging from 16mm and 35mm film elements and vintage analog video to modern digital cameras—the finished master was assembled at 2k resolution and upsampled to 4k with HDR-10 for Ultra HD Blu-ray. While the contemporary interviews and newly animated segments featuring mascot Eddie boast crisp fine detail, the biggest advantage of the 4k disc comes from its top-notch HEVC encode and HDR-10 dynamic range, giving the stadium pyrotechnics, lighting rigs, and rich colors of the band's iconic album artwork maximum visual punch.
