Scary Movie 4k | Steelbook | 2000

Yes. Director Keenen Ivory Wayans shot the first installment of the hit parody franchise in 2000 using anamorphic Panavision cameras on classic 35mm analog film, and the movie was finished photochemically. To mark the 25th anniversary of its theatrical release, Paramount returned to the original 35mm camera negatives, scanning them in 4k to create a brand-new native 4k master housed on a triple-layer BD-100 disc with WCG, HDR-10, and Dolby Vision. Compared to the dated Blu-ray disc, which suffered from soft detail and weak compression, the new 4k transfer offers dramatically sharper definition, a natural film grain structure, and above all much deeper blacks and superior highlight rendering in the nighttime scenes spoofing Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
