Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. The Dark Crystal was of course shot on analogue cameras, i.e. 35 mm film. At a time when digital intermediates were not made. So the studio scanned the original negatives in 4k for the Ultra HD Blu-ray release, which makes the Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation be based on the native 4k master. In addition, the transfer benefits from more advanced compression and, most importantly, the wider WCG colour palette and greater HDR dynamic range that are the new format's main assets.
