Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

The live-action adaptation of the animated classic was shot using Arri Alexa Mini and SXT digital cameras, capturing raw footage at 3.4K resolution. However, because the entire production is packed to the brim with digital effects, it is no surprise that post-production took place in 2K, the resolution at which the final master was rendered. While the source material is therefore upsampled for UHDBD, you can still expect a massive improvement over the standard Blu-ray: beyond a jump in fine detail rendering, it shines above all thanks to a richer color palette courtesy of WCG and an expanded luminance range via HDR. For such a colorful fantasy spectacle, those two visual elements matter even more than raw resolution, so it is no wonder international reviews praise their impact and call the UHD transfer a resounding success.
