Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. The Wizard of Oz was captured using Technicolor cameras, and the studio devoted immense care to its restoration: the original elements were scanned at 8K resolution and 16-bit color depth, a combination capable of wringing the absolute maximum out of the Technicolor process. Following restoration, these elements were saved as a 4K master, which served as the source for both theatrical reissue prints and the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. The disc thus benefits not only from the massive 8K scan—which, even when downsampled to 4K, yields an extraordinary amount of visual information and fine detail—but also from the 16-bit color palette, translating in HDR into a breathtaking showcase of color backed by both standard HDR10 and premium Dolby Vision. Thanks to this technological combination, the film has truly never looked better.
