Barbarian

Yes. One of the most original horror films of recent years from director Zach Cregger was shot by cinematographer Zach Kuperstein on top-tier Sony CineAlta Venice digital cameras at 6k resolution, with the entire post-production pipeline and final mastering completed in native 4k. For a horror movie set largely during a rain-lashed night and inside claustrophobic, barely lit subterranean tunnels beneath a Detroit house, the combination of the Sony Venice's dual base ISO sensors, a triple-layer BD-100 disc, and both HDR-10 and Dolby Vision is an absolute godsend. The transfer maintains impeccable shadow delineation, inky-deep blacks free of crush, and striking contrast when cutting to the sun-drenched California coast. International reviews rave about the picture quality, and one thing is certain: Barbarian will never look better than this.
