Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?
Yes. The light from the Bullet Train set hit the sensors of Arri digital cameras, specifically the new Alexa Mini and SXT, whose raw footage was recorded in 2.6K and 4.5K. The materials then came together on a native 4K master, from which one can logically expect nothing less than a reference-grade experience in terms of both sharpness and fine detail as well as color reproduction. After all, the theatrical master was already graded for Dolby Vision, which is also included on this physical disc and lends the title tremendous luminance and color dynamics that neither Dolby Vision theatrical projections nor any other cinema presentations can match. Add to that the consistently excellent HEVC compression (Sony is renowned for its superb codec work, and this is no exception), and you get a reference title with stunning audiovisual qualities.
