Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?
This new take on the legendary Dracula tale was shot on 35mm motion picture film, likely to best preserve its gritty, dark atmosphere. However, the analog footage was subsequently scanned and finished in a 2K digital intermediate for post-production, meaning the master is upscaled for this Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation. Even so, thanks primarily to the preserved organic look of the film stock, improved contrast, and deeper colors, international reviewers praise the disc and agree that it represents a clear leap in quality over the standard Blu-ray.
