Do I get Native 4k?

Yes. Elvis has the potential to become a benchmark of the format, both thanks to Luhrmann's visuals and the technical parameters, combining the director's love of "shiny" visuals, which of course excel greatly in HDR, and camera technology that is currently the pinnacle of Hollywood equipment. In fact, the film was made with the optics of the Arri Alexa 65 and LF cameras, which are large format cameras (as the name suggests, 65 is the equivalent of 65mm film) with resolutions ranging from 4.5k to 6.5k. These monstrous resolution materials were then assembled in post-production on a 4k master. UHDBD thus takes from native 4k, allowing it to take enough image information from the source material to create a video that is razor sharp, full of detail, and solid in the drawing of whatever flashed in front of the lenses. In addition to this, as mentioned at the outset, the film has tremendous potential to shine in the HDR component of the transfer thanks to Luhrmann's visuals, which combined with all of the above results in an absolutely awesome Ultra HD Blu-ray disc.
