Game of Thrones - The Complete Sixth Season

Information on Seasons 4–8: For the remainder of the series, the creative team moved to newer camera technology. Production shifted to Arri Alexa SXT Plus, XT, and Mini digital cameras, whose 3.2k raw footage was stored and post-produced as digital data, occasionally supplemented by a 6k Red Epic-M Dragon. Visual effects were finished in 2k, as was the final master. In terms of resolution this is therefore an upscale, yet the leap in image rendering is even more pronounced than in the first half of the show. The series benefits not only from higher capture resolution, but also from a higher-resolution master, resulting in visibly cleaner detail across the board. Expanding the luminance and color ceilings also enables far smoother light rendering and color gradations, completely eliminating flaws such as the banding seen on the original Blu-ray discs. While not native 4k, Game of Thrones looks dramatically better in UHD, making this unmistakably the definitive edition of the legendary series. It has never looked better and never will—and every episode is accompanied by phenomenal Dolby Atmos audio.
