Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Ghost in the Shell was shot on Arri Alexa 65 digital cameras, whose massive sensor is the digital equivalent of 65mm film stock. Capable of capturing breathtaking imagery at 6.5K resolution, all of those megapixels were nevertheless downscaled to 2K for post-production, as Ghost in the Shell is a VFX-heavy production that would have been prohibitively expensive to render in 4K. For its Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation, it is therefore upscaled from a 2K master. Given the visual nature of the material, however, its true secret weapons are clearly WCG and HDR, which already made Ghost in the Shell a standout in Dolby Vision theatrical screenings. In short, Ghost in the Shell is tailor-made for high-end HDR, and that is its biggest strength on UHDBD. International reviews confirm this, praising above all its superb handling of specular highlights and the vibrant neon colors within them.
