Panic Room 4k | Steelbook

Yes. David Fincher's claustrophobic 2002 thriller starring Jodie Foster was shot on analog 35mm film (Super 35 format) by cinematographers Conrad W. Hall and Darius Khondji, notably serving as one of the very first Hollywood productions to undergo a complete digital intermediate with virtual camera fly-throughs. Having skipped the standard Blu-ray era altogether, Panic Room finally makes its long-awaited debut on 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray courtesy of Sony Pictures, which prepared a brand-new 4k remaster personally supervised by David Fincher himself, housed on a triple-layer BD-100 disc with Dolby Vision, HDR-10, and a new Dolby Atmos mix. International reviewers are downright ecstatic, calling the disc a minor technical miracle: the dark New York brownstone boasts incredible fine detail across walls, raindrops, and faces, exemplary fine grain definition, and above all reference-grade handling of shadows, deep blacks, and pinpoint specular highlights from flashlights and security monitors.
