Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Almost all animated films are rendered in 2K, so it is no surprise that Smurfs: The Lost Village was produced at that same resolution. The Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation is therefore upscaled from a 2K master. While the jump in resolution over the Blu-ray is minor, the biggest difference comes from HDR and WCG, which are given plenty of room to shine in the colorful world of the Smurf village—literally. According to international reviews, the UHDBD is slightly sharper than the BD, though the difference is minimal. Thanks to HDR, the video achieves smoother color gradations, allowing textures to stand out more clearly as well. Overall, the video earns high marks, largely thanks to its HDR presentation and rich colors.
