Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. David Lean shot his war classic starring Alec Guinness on traditional 35mm film in CinemaScope. For its 60th anniversary, the studio was therefore able to restore the title from the original camera negatives, which after a 4K scan served as the foundation for a new native 4K master. It is not only rich in fine detail rendering, but also faithfully reproduces the natural film grain—both of which international reviews praise alongside the contributions of HDR and WCG. Overall, the transfer of The Bridge on the River Kwai is regarded as a major triumph, and the new 4K presentation suits the film splendidly.
