Will I get native 4K ULTRA HD?

Despite Quentin Tarantino being a staunch advocate of analog film stock and shooting all his feature films on film — often finishing them photochemically —, while Inglourious Basterds was shot on 35mm, it was finished with a Digital Intermediate that was reportedly at 2k resolution. That is the resolution where the film's master effectively topped out. If this information is accurate, the UHD presentation is upsampled. Nevertheless, it brings a notable upgrade over the legacy Blu-ray release. Alongside better compression and additional disc space, the bump in resolution delivers finer image detail that is better equipped to faithfully reproduce the original film print, both in terms of fine detail and light film grain, as well as color and luminance rendition: Thanks to HDR, the disc can reproduce the full luminance and color gamut of the original source, presenting Inglourious Basterds in the highest quality possible — outperforming even theatrical presentation quality.
