Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?

4k REVIEW

Yes. Nicolas Roeg’s iconic 1976 science-fiction odyssey starring David Bowie in his defining screen debut was shot by cinematographer Anthony B. Richmond on classic 35mm film using Panavision cameras and anamorphic lenses, and finished photochemically without a digital intermediate. Working alongside Deluxe London, StudioCanal returned directly to the original 35mm camera negatives for a full 4k scan and digital restoration approved directly by Anthony B. Richmond himself. Housed on a triple-layer BD-100 disc with both HDR-10 and Dolby Vision, Roeg’s hypnotic visual poetry shines with remarkable fine detail across the sun-bleached New Mexico landscapes, intricate costume textures, and Bowie’s porcelain features, backed by organic film grain, deep contrast, and refined WCG colour reproduction. This native 4k presentation is the home-video equivalent of owning an archival 35mm print and extracts the absolute maximum from the original elements.
