Disclosure Day

Yes—and in pure reference-grade form right out of the gate! Steven Spielberg's grand return to the alien sci-fi thriller genre was shot by his longtime cinematographer Janusz Kamiński using a unique blend of classic 35mm Kodak Vision3 film stock (captured on Panaflex Millennium XL2 and Arri 235 cameras with Panavision anamorphic lenses for two-thirds of the runtime) and cutting-edge Arri Alexa 35 and Sony CineAlta Venice 2 digital cameras for nighttime and specialized sequences. All of these pristine elements came together in a full 4k post-production pipeline to yield a true native 4k master. Housed on a triple-layer BD-100 disc with both HDR-10 and Dolby Vision, the presentation seamlessly marries the organic texture of 35mm film with the breathtaking luminance dynamics of beams of light piercing the night sky. Paired with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack showcasing John Williams's score, this is an absolute audiovisual tour de force.
