Do I get native 4K Ultra HD?

Yes. Considering the age of Casino, it is clear that the film was shot on traditional 35 mm film – and as is common with catalog titles like this, the studio was able to return to those film elements, newly scan them and master them in 4K. The Ultra HD Blu-ray therefore benefits from native 4K which, together with more efficient compression, promises not only improved detail and sharpness but also a more accurate rendering of film grain. Add the usual suspects WCG and HDR and you get an image that is likely the definitive representation of Scorsese’s classic – the film on UHDBD looks better than it did at the time of its theatrical premiere and the UHDBD makes the most of the original 35 mm film.
