Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

The fifth installment in the Harry Potter series was shot on 35mm film, which was scanned for 2K digital post-production. For the Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation, the master was therefore upscaled from a lower resolution. Consequently, the transfer doesn't bring a dazzling amount of new detail (though a subtle difference is noticeable); according to international reviews (1) (2), it benefits more from HDR, which focuses primarily on the lower end of the tonal scale. The UHD presentation dials back overall brightness and delves into deeper shades of black. While the transfer is darker, it reportedly separates objects in luminance much more effectively (handling contrast better), and although it doesn't boost color saturation, hues are now slightly better defined. The cinematography of the later entries in the series is heavily desaturated and emphasizes darkness—and it appears the HDR pass for the UHDBD honors that artistic intent down to the last bit. In addition, the film has been newly remixed into DTS:X.
