Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. The vast majority of the second Fantastic Beasts film was shot on the Arri Alexa 65, a digital camera whose sensor is so massive that it emulates 65mm motion picture film. The capture resolution was a formidable 6.5K, and the entire post-production pipeline was completed in 4K. The master serving as the source for the Ultra HD Blu-ray is therefore native 4K. Furthermore, the film was already graded in HDR for theaters—specifically in Dolby Vision, which is included on the disc alongside HDR10. During the making of the first installment, David Yates noted that he and his cinematographer took HDR into account during principal photography itself, tailoring the visuals accordingly—and the same can logically be expected of the sequel. Such a technically polished source master lays the foundation for a reference-grade transfer.
