Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. Mangold shot the racing drama on the new Arri Alexa LF digital cameras, which made the resolution of the raw footage a very solid 4.5k. These videos were then downsampled slightly to 4k for post-production purposes, which ended up being the resolution of the final export. The master of Le Mans '66 is thus in native 4k, giving the Ultra HD Blu-ray transfer a deep well of visual detail to draw from. These in turn can be aided by better compression than the older Blu-ray, as well as the presence of an expanded brightness and colour palette (HDR and WCG). All of this ensures that the film hasn't looked better even in cinemas, and in all likelihood never will.
