Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. John Carpenter's horror classic The Thing was made when the entire filmmaking process was photochemical, allowing the studio to return to the original 35mm camera negatives, restore them, scan them at high resolution, digitally clean them, and create a native 4K master. The UHD presentation thus benefits from a brand-new native 4K source that underpins a modern transfer squeezing the absolute most out of current audio-video technologies: modern compression and ample space on a triple-layer disc deliver a pristine encode with tight fine detail rendering and organic grain structure, while HDR ensures the transfer harnesses the full exposure latitude of the film stock. To top it all off, the audio has been remixed into DTS:X. This combination guarantees that The Thing has never looked or sounded better—and since the disc extracts the maximum audiovisual information held by the film elements, it never will. This is the definitive presentation of Carpenter's classic.
