Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. Wonder Woman 1984 was captured through the lenses of several technologically distinct cameras, ranging from analog Arri cameras and the digital Arri Alexa XT to the large-format Arri Alexa 65. The latter features a digital sensor matching the size of analog 65mm film stock for true large-format capture, accompanied by the king of large format itself: the analog IMAX camera. For Wonder Woman, this means the opening action sequence, for instance, is presented in an expanded aspect ratio that makes fuller use of the recording area of such cameras (along with all the associated sharpness and fine detail). Ultimately, all of these elements—ranging from 3.4K and 4K up to 6.5K—were brought together onto a 4K digital intermediate, yielding a native 4K master. The Ultra HD Blu-ray of the new Wonder Woman can therefore draw an immense amount of visual information from high-grade source material and present it in the highest possible quality, thanks not only to HEVC compression, but also to superb HDR and its expanded color palette. Together, these elevate the transfer to a level of quality that no other distribution platform has yet surpassed.
