HDMI Coupler / Adapter

When bent sharply, HDMI cables can be prone to signal loss caused by stress on the internal conductors. If your home theater installation requires space-saving connections or routing cables in a specific direction, the PureInstall 90-degree adapter is the ideal solution.

The adapter features an HDMI Type A Female -> HDMI Type A Male configuration: simply plug a standard HDMI cable coming from your player, set-top box, or game console into the female port, take advantage of the right-angle bend, and plug the male connector on the other end into your TV, receiver, etc.—or reverse the orientation entirely.

Patented SLS (Secure Lock System) technology significantly increases connector stability and the pull force required to unplug the adapter from the port.

We tested it for you: Don't want to buy a pig in a poke? Fair enough—that's why we test components and verify their performance ourselves. We tested the coupler using a 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray player and an HDR UHDTV connected via PXLDRIVE cables, specifically running the Ultra HD Blu-ray of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, chosen for its extreme bandwidth demands: not only is the film presented on the disc in Ultra HD with HDR, it also runs at 60 frames per second (2160p/60, HDR10) accompanied by a Dolby Atmos track, with the player outputting 12-bit (4:2:2). This is one of the most demanding combinations of current Ultra HD formats possible.

The coupler transmitted all data without a single hiccup, and ARC worked flawlessly as well. The PureInstall adapter thus passed our stress test with flying colors. Its sturdy build and the secure grip on both connectors thanks to SLS also deserve praise.

Alternatively, you might find the same adapter angled upward useful.
