Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. The previous installment was already a benchmark for a masterfully executed Ultra HD disc with fantastic HDR grading, so it is no wonder that the largely unchanged creative team has maintained the same standards. The third Fantastic Beasts film was shot on Arri Alexa LF cameras and finished in 4K, which is also the resolution of the final master. The disc therefore draws from a native 4K source. Alongside this—and HDR's ability to render the most precise luminance and color gradations even in relatively dark settings—the film benefits from being stored on a triple-layer disc, giving it ample compression headroom to handle such demanding scenes. Together with the uncompressed audio track, this sets the transfer apart from streaming, where compression dramatically bottlenecks both picture and sound. This makes the UHDBD the finest available copy of the film, surpassing both other distribution methods and even what audiences saw in theaters.
