Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Jojo Rabbit was shot on standard Arri Alexa Mini and SXT digital cameras, whose 3.4K raw footage was finished in post-production and rendered to a 2K master. While the UHDBD transfer is therefore upsampled back to UHD, that does not detract from its quality: compared to the standard Blu-ray, the disc features superior compression and more faithfully reproduces the (artificially applied) film grain, which reviewers praise alongside a modest uptick in fine detail rendering. Moreover, the title takes advantage of an expanded color and luminance palette via WCG and HDR, pushing the reproduction of red uniform accents and other richly saturated objects well beyond the SDR capabilities of standard Blu-ray. Expect a solid, dependable upgrade over the Blu-ray.

Moreover, this is one of the few opportunities to get this title on UHD with Czech language options. The film was originally scheduled for release in the Czech Republic, which is why a UHD version with Czech dubbing and subtitles exists; however, just before the release, the distributor canceled it—and went out of business a few weeks later. The discs, however, had already been finalized. Jojo Rabbit will therefore not be officially released on BD or UHD in the Czech Republic, but we managed to source the Czech-equipped UHD disc for you via import.
