Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. Christopher McQuarrie shot the sixth Mission: Impossible film on 35mm motion picture stock, while key action sequences were captured on Panavision Millennium DXL cameras in open-matte 8K resolution so that those scenes could expand vertically for IMAX screenings. This shifting aspect ratio is preserved on the home video release, where the frame transitions into the taller ratio via a smooth expansion rather than a hard cut.

Both the 4K-scanned 35mm film footage and the 8K-captured digital sequences were brought together onto a 4K master during post-production, making this a native Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation. Alongside superb fine detail rendering and well-defined film grain, you can expect exceptional color reproduction, contrast, and tonal gradations courtesy of WCG and HDR, further enhanced by a Dolby Vision layer.
