Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?

4k REVIEW

No. Like director Makoto Shinkai's previous films, the anime feature Suzume was produced entirely digitally and its final master was rendered at 2k resolution, meaning the image is upscaled for Ultra HD Blu-ray presentation. Even so, the 4k disc marks a noticeable upgrade over the standard Blu-ray—above all thanks to HDR-10 high dynamic range and Wide Color Gamut (WCG), which gorgeously illuminate Shinkai's signature interplay of light, expansive skies, and magical portals, as well as the higher-bitrate HEVC encode on a triple-layer BD-100 disc that effectively eliminates compression artifacts and color banding.
