Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?
Yes. Sony championed native 4K production back when other studios were not even considering it, so The Amazing Spider-Man was not only shot on Red Epic cameras capturing 5K footage, but was also finished in 4K, giving it a native 4K master. The Ultra HD Blu-ray thus presents the film in an almost 1:1 copy of the source master, meaning it cannot be found in better quality on any other distribution platform today—or in the future. Add HDR support to the equation, and it is clear that the film has never looked better (paradoxically, not even in 4K theaters), and never will, because the UHDBD extracts the absolute maximum from the source material.
