Deep Blue Sea 4k | Steelbook | 1999

Yes. Warner Bros. licensed Deep Blue Sea for international markets to Arrow Video, which—true to its reputation for meticulousness and fan-driven enthusiasm—has completely restored the film from the original 35mm negatives. This process resulted in a brand-new 4k master, providing a transfer in both Ultra HD and HDR, including Dolby Vision. It is highly likely that Warner Bros. will utilize this superior master for distribution within our region. As is often the case with Ultra HD Blu-ray, this new release can be confidently regarded as the best the film has ever looked. In fact, the UHD BD will qualitatively surpass the original 1999 theatrical screenings, which, due to the limitations of analog distribution, could never guarantee consistency in sharpness, color, or film grain. Furthermore, the new Ultra HD transfer was supervised by the director himself. We are looking at the definitive presentation of this film, and it is unlikely that any higher quality will ever be achieved.
