Will I get native 4k Ultra HD?

The second Star Trek film was shot on analog cameras using traditional 35mm motion picture film. Alongside it, however, J.J. Abrams also utilized large-format 65mm stock, resulting in roughly 30 minutes of the film being presented in IMAX mode, where the aspect ratio opens up from standard 2.39:1 to 1.78:1 (fullscreen). And although Star Trek Into Darkness was finished in 2K, these sequences in particular look like native 4K, aided by the superior detail reproduction of 65mm film, high-quality compression, and HDR. As you would expect from a sci-fi spectacle, the title benefits immensely from HDR. In addition, unlocking the color palette via WCG gives the film richer colors that bolster its already superb fine detail rendering and contrast—both of which are night-and-day improvements over the original Blu-ray release.
