Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. And since the production was handled by Arri Alexa 65 digital cameras, it should be of reference quality. Thanks to the enormous size of their digital sensor, these cameras are the modern equivalent of the large-format 65mm film stock. In the case of Fantastic Four, slightly modified IMAX versions of these cameras were also used. While we won't get the expanded aspect ratio, the benefit of these cameras will still be visible at first glance, as the 6.5K raw footage provides a more than sufficient foundation for a superb native 4K master. When you add the presence of HDR, one can expect nothing less than the technological pinnacle of current mainstream production.

Although the film doesn't utilize the maximum potential offered by the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format, as it comes only on a dual-layer disc, the disc still represents the pinnacle of the distribution chain. Not only was it unavailable in better quality in most theaters, but it also won't be surpassed by streaming platforms.
